Five years of achievements
Banif Bank (Malta) plc was born of an investment project, with a vision of becoming a key player in the Maltese market by adopting a differentiated customer-centric strategy. In January 2008 the Bank opened to the public through its first branch located in St Julians. Since then, despite the unfavourable international environment, the Bank opened more branches as well as a business unit, and alternative channels were opened to service different interests. This infrastructure enabled us to become a fully-fledged Bank, delivering financial services to our customers’ satisfaction.
Strategic growth
If we had to segment the Bank´s growth process during its first five years, it is possible to define the following three strategic phases.
In the initial phase it was important for the Bank to disclose its identity and create brand awareness. The Bank worked on establishing clear messages and direct relationships with various stakeholders. It was important to earn the right to grow.
The following phase saw the Bank endeavour to expand its business in the local market by growing its product portfolio and customer base. Fully operational in all banking activities, the Bank strived to gain more market share and to create the foundations for long term relationships with customers.
Today we are living the consolidation stage. The Bank is now recognised as an important intervenient in the local economy, respected by its peers and contributing on the same level to the social wellbeing of the community, and to the satisfaction of our clients who now regularly bank with us. Our track record of delivering results despite the adverse conditions we have worked in is testament to our resilience, ambition and belief in what we do. leading banks and a reliable institution of great value, our achievements spur us to aim for more, attain new goals and reach new heights.
Moving forward together
The future is bright and we are upbeat and optimistic. We are looking at important developments that will shape our future, grow our business, create opportunity and strengthen our position in the market. Banif Bank (Malta) plc is leaving its mark and as avowed in its motto ‘ The Power of Believing’ it believes it can meet and exceed expectations by surpassing its goals and consolidating its position.
