Card holders are automatically covered for 90 days from date of purchase and the insurance covers items purchased with my Manchester United Credit Card from Banif, both in Malta and when travelling abroad. Claims have to be made within 45 days from the date of loss or damage.

Emergency Assistance for Travellers
No matter where I travel in the world, I can call the Visa Global Customer Assistance Service number 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and a customer service representative will be at hand to help me. I can call the operator on 001 443 641 2004 for assistance.
I can lodge a lost or stolen card report, arrange for a replacement card or emergency cash delivery with my financial institution’s approval, and make any other Visa card-related inquiry.
To best assist the customer service representative, it is important that I have this information at hand:
name of my Bank - Banif Bank (Malta) plc;
card type (e.g. Visa Gold, Visa Classic, Manchester United Credit Card);
country where the card was issued - Malta;
exact cardholder name as printed on the card;
billing address - where I receive my monthly credit card statement;
home phone number;
circumstances of the loss or theft;
my identification verification information, as provided when I applied for my card (e.g. date of birth, mother's maiden name or similar).

Applying for a Manchester United Credit Card is simple. All I need to do is visit a Banif branch and present:
- my ID Card
- evidence of income – either last year’s FS3 and the last 3 months’ payslips or last 3 years’ Income Tax return including the Profit and Loss Account; and
- bank statements of all accounts held with other banks.
